Falls Woman Charged Huffing and Driving Around Town

Suspect, 54, nearly drove into a bank after getting high on aerosol duster in the parking lot.

A 54-year-old Menomonee Falls woman is facing charges after she allegedly huffed aerosol dust remover on several occasions in the past month, including two instances where she drove after getting high.

Dana L. Bromaghim was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with four counts of intentionally abusing a hazardous substance and one count of bail jumping. If convicted, she faces up to 45 months in prison and $50,000 in fines.

On Sept. 10, Bromaghim pulled into a stranger’s driveway in the N7800 block of Rosewood Drive and began huffing dust remover. The owner of the home said she then left the residence and continued driving down Pilgrim Road.

After reporting to her home in response to the incident, an officer found Bromaghim parked in her own driveway and again huffing aerosol duster until the officer knocked on her window and startled her.

The officer found multiple cans of duster within her car, which Bromaghim had been huffing from. Officers then contacted her daughter who told them Bromaghim had been rushed to the hospital the day before after she was found passed out in a Fond du Lac hotel where she had been huffing duster.

On Sept. 11, police were again called to Bromaghim’s residence after she was spotted by neighbors sitting in her car and huffing aerosol. Police found her in the car with a large amount of water under the vehicle after she had sat in there for some time with the air conditioning on and huffing.

On Sept. 12 police were called to , W178N9358 Watertower Place after en employee spotted Bromaghim park in the parking lot and sit slumped over the wheel. When they went to see if she needed assistance, the car began to roll forward towards the front entrance of the building until one employee was able to reach in and shut the car off, halting it on the sidewalk.

On Tuesday police were again called to Bromaghim’s residence after a mailman and neighbor spotted her sitting in her car in the garage and huffing duster then passing out. They called 911 after she passed out twice while huffing the substance.

Bromaghim is currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on $3,000 cash bail.
