This WiFi Isn’t Free

On Tuesday, a 55-year-old man made it quite clear to his neighbor that his WiFi wasn’t free.

At roughly 6:30 p.m., the man entered the apartment of his 27-year-old neighbor, on the W14000 block of Main Street, and accused him of stealing his wireless signal. The man didn’t just stop there.

According to the report, the older man took the wireless thief’s computer and slammed it against the wall damaging both the technology and the wall. The 27-year-old man told police his neighbor also struck him and threatened to beat him up.

The 55-year-old was arrested by Menomonee Falls police and taken into custody. He is currently facing misdemeanor charges for disorderly conduct, trespassing, and damage to proerty.

A Solution to a Leaky Roof Perhaps?

It’s not quite clear, but it appears a shingle thief has found a low-cost way to repair a leaky roof.

According to the Menomonee Falls Police Department, a village parks employee reported to work at 7 a.m. Thursday at Willowood Park and found a strange makeshift ladder.

Apparently, a person stacked two garbage cans on top of a table to gain access to the roof of the shelter. The person stole four shingles from the roof, and it is the second time shingles were stolen from the roof in the past two days.

The suspect was able to climb the roof because the garbage cans were not locked. According to the report, the incident occurred between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m.

• Between 4:30 p.m. May 10 and 6:30 a.m. Monday, a person stole 1,170 feet of copper cable from We Energies, W140N9100 Lilly Rd. The spool of wire was valued at roughly $13,000.
• It’s not the first time this has occurred, but once again graffiti was discovered on the railroad trestle at Town Line Road and Mill Road. The vandalism likely occurred sometime between 1:45 a.m. Saturday and 3:19 a.m. Monday.
• Between 7:30 a.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Monday someone damaged the dual-roll toilet paper dispenser in a bathroom at Oakwood Park. Total damage was estimated at $15.
• Between 1:30 a.m. and 2:56 a.m. Monday, a person broke into a vehicle parked at Woodman’s and stole a digital navigation touch screen, Gucci sunglasses, 12 CDs, an amplifier, and tweeter speakers. The total loss is valued at $2,200.
